American born James Carter pursued his interest in architecture as his artistic vision was developing. He recombines everyday objects and architectural elements to create a super realism that becomes surrealism. His paintings are acrylic with airbrush yielding a velvet like surface with pristine line and crisp edges. There is an underlying sense of humor in his compositions as well. His serigraphs and lithographs are a testament to his precision and sense of balance in color and composition.
